Job Description:

The technician will prepare new catalysts via standard and novel methods and is expected to solve occurring problems

Candidate will perform most complex preparations, tests and analyses in the area of heterogeneous catalysis and material science

The technician will also analyze catalyst materials as well as finished catalysts using complex methods in collaboration with the analytical department

Candidate will compile analytical and testing results and report to the project leader following rigorous record keeping practices

Candidate must operate according to standard safety practices

The candidate is expected to be able to operate independently all section instrumentation and/or equipment and assist senior staff members on specified projects

Requirements:

The position requires a high school education with 2 years of college in a related scientific discipline plus 5 years laboratory experience or a high school education with 7 years of laboratory experience

Experience in chemical batch calculations, preparation and adjustment of slurries, coating processes, and analytical methods are a strong plus
